Mint Car Wash Begins Building Third Savannah Location

The Dewitt Tilton Group Selected as Commercial Construction Company to Complete Project

(SAVANNAH, GA) Mint Car Wash, a Savannah-based exterior express car wash company, has announced plans to build a third location in the greater Savannah area. Earlier this year, Mint hosted a grand opening event for its second location (4747 E. U.S. Hwy. 80) benefiting Coastal Pet Rescue. The original Mint Car Wash opened at 10000 Abercorn Street in July 2018.

Mint‘s newest car wash will be an impressive 4,500 square ft. building and 23 vacuum parking spaces on a 1.2-acre lot located at 302 Commercial Dr. The owners have chosen local commercial construction firm the Dewitt Tilton Group for the project, and the group expects to complete the car wash in the fall.

“As we approach our two-year anniversary since opening our business in Savannah, we are still seeking new ways to grow, serve the city, and expand the membership value of Mint’s Unlimited Wash Club,” said Mint Car Wash co-owner R. Daniel Blanton, Jr. “There’s major shopping around Hodgson Memorial Drive, making it a high-traffic area ideally suited for the unique service and value we deliver at Mint Car Wash.”

Mint Car Wash is a drive-through experience offering exciting features like its state-of-the-art car wash tunnel and fully outfitted self-service vacuum area complete with various cleaners and air detailing tools.   For those who enjoy a clean car, Mint offers its exclusive Unlimited Wash Club that allows members to wash their vehicle every day for one monthly price.  Memberships work at all Savannah Mint Car Wash locations.  Mint’s top wash package, the Full Minty, includes 21 separate cleaners, sealers and waxes designed to clean, shine and protect vehicle finishes.

“Mint Car Wash is the perfect company to occupy this space,” says Chris Tilton, co-principal of The Dewitt Tilton Group. “Based on the layout of the existing lot, only certain types of buildings could utilize the space effectively. So it has been really rewarding to work with Mint Car Wash on creating a structure that is pleasing to the eye that also makes the most of the square footage available to us.”

One unique characteristic of the build is the foundational slab. Given the unique needs of the car wash, the slab will be thicker than that of a retail space or restaurant. And as is standard for car wash foundations, trenches and drains must also be built into the slab to accommodate the hoses and water run-off.

Priding themselves on providing outstanding commercial construction services in Coastal Georgia and the Lowcountry, Tilton affirms that his team at the Dewitt Tilton Group are always finding innovative solutions for the most complex commercial construction challenges.

“This is an exciting project for us,” said Tilton. “It isn’t simply one structure with your typical entrances and exits: there are so many intricate parts involved with making a car wash not only functional, but also seamlessly convenient for Mint’s customers, and we are thrilled to be able to put the great minds on our team and our industry resources to this build.”

Roto-Rooter Plumbers of Savannah Remains Open for Customers

Roto-Rooter Plumbers of Savannah Remains Open for Customers

Creates Their Own Sanitizer  and  Strengthens Safety Protocols Amid COVID-19 Pandemic

(SAVANNAH, GA) Roto-Rooter Plumbers of Savannah will remain open 24-7 to serve its customers’ emergency plumbing house calls during the COVID-19 pandemic. They are committed to using every resource available to them to ensure the safety and health of their customers and plumbing technicians.

For each service call, technicians are avoiding going into customers homes if at all possible. If they must enter the home, they have increased their protective gear to now include disposable full-body coveralls and masks in addition to the boot covers. Roto-Rooter Plumbers of Savannah is also prescreening appointments before technicians are sent out in the field. Additionally, all team members are also undergoing training on air born pathogens and prevention methods, and tools, tablets, vehicles and equipment are sanitized after each job. These local precautions go above and beyond the standards set for Roto-Rooter branches across the nation to ensure they are able to serve all the plumbing calls they receive while preventing the spread of the coronavirus.

While most of the country is experiencing a shortage of hand sanitizer and disinfectant, Roto-Rooter Plumbers of Savannah contacted the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for guidelines, and has made its own disinfecting products to ensure its technicians have the tools they need to protect their customers and themselves from the spread of the virus. They are also in compliance with the Office of Clinical Evidence and Analysis, Office of Product Evaluation and Quality (OCEA).

“Now that we are all taking responsibility and doing our part to prevent the spread of this virus by staying home as much as possible, we really need everything, especially our plumbing, to be in working order,” said Sherry Daniel, owner and CEO of Roto-Rooter Plumbers of Savannah. “We are committed to making everyone as comfortable as possible in their own homes so they can focus on educating their kids, working from home, spring cleaning and any other projects they have taken on within their own four walls.”

The CDC is still investigating whether the virus can spread through sewage systems, but there is no evidence of that being a concern at this time.

“Ultimately, it is vital to keep people’s drains flowing,” said Daniel. “We are partnering with a new company, ‘Low Country Laterals’. They are able to install cure-in-place liner, which allows our technicians to avoid entering into a customer’s home entirely.” The cure-in-place liner uses damaged pipe as a conduit and installs a new PVC and resin liner from the access point to the public sewer. Technicians are able to access lines with little excavation and can restore a home’s building sewer to like-new condition. For more information about the steps Roto-Rooter Plumbers of Savannah is taking to keep its staff and customers safe, visit the national Roto-Rooter website at https://www.rotorooter.com/covid-19/. To report a plumbing emergency in your own home to Roto-Rooter Plumbers of Savannah, call 912-341-ROTO, available at all hours, every day of the week.

Pinnacle Medical Group Opens Office as Emergency Relief Center for Laceration Repair and Minor Skin Injuries

(BEAUFORT/BLUFFTON/HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC) Pinnacle Medical Group, the locally owned and operated parent company of Pinnacle Plastic Surgery, PURE Medical Spa and Beaufort Dermatology, has reached out to Beaufort Memorial, Hilton Head and Coastal Carolina Hospitals and offered to relieve their emergency departments by accepting laceration repair and minor skin injury patients directly in the Bluffton office, located at 7 Mallet Way, and in the Beaufort office, located at 1096 Ribaut Road.

“Our hope is to divert patients from the emergency room to our office in an effort to save the hospital beds, emergency personnel, and supplies available for potential COVID-19 patients,” said Dr. Audrey Klenke, plastic surgeon and principal of Pinnacle Medical Group

If the patient has a minor or complex laceration, whether it would normally require a consultant to be called or not, the patient is offered to be seen in the office for evaluation and repair saving them time and the potential exposure to COVID-19.

Patients will be given Pinnacle Medical Group’s contact information and instructed to ensure contact has been made and a plan in place before leaving hospital. The ER provider can communicate details directly with the Pinnacle team, which reduces any confusion. Patients who need simple suture removal and other minor procedures appropriate for a plastic surgery office can also be diverted.

The hours of operation for these procedures fall under the practice’s temporarily modified office hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday-Friday for the Bluffton office and 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday / 8:00 a.m. – 12 p.m. Friday for the Beaufort office. After-hours services may become available depending on the demand for appointments.

Pinnacle Medical Group Launches Telehealth Services for Patients

(BEAUFORT/BLUFFTON/HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SC) Pinnacle Medical Group, the locally owned and operated parent company of Pinnacle Plastic Surgery, PURE Medical Spa and Beaufort Dermatology, will now offer telehealth appointments utilizing FaceTime and GoToMeeting for virtual visits.

In the coming weeks, the practice’s electronic medical record provider will launch a downloadable telehealth application, which will integrate directly into the Pinnacle Medical Group’s operating system.

“As we are facing so many uncertainties in the midst of the coronavirus, it is so important to provide more access and options for high-quality care for our patients and community,” said Dr. Audrey Klenke, plastic surgeon and principal of Pinnacle Medical Group

Pinnacle Medical Group will utilize telehealth options for consultations and follow-up appointments for the following visit types including but not limited to:

  • Dermatological Services:
    • Viral skin lesions
    • Acne
    • Skin cancer follow-up
    • Pigmented lesions
    • Biopsy follow-up
    • Disease management

    • Pre-operative appointments for procedures and surgeries
    • Follow-up visits
    • Laceration & burn consultation

    • Follow-up visits

Since no one is certain of how long this pandemic is going to last, Pinnacle Medical Group will continue to offer in-office appointments in addition to the telehealth options. Dr. Klenke said, “Telehealth appointments will help to reduce exposure to COVID-19 and to minimize surges in care facilities. However, it is important to stress that we will recommend an office visit if there is a more serious issue or need for surgery, such as a patient that has skin cancer that needs to be excised.”

The new telehealth appointments will be available between the practice’s temporarily modified office hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Anyone interested in telehealth is asked to call the office and a patient concierge will be able to assist with the appointment. A phone or computer with a microphone and camera is required. Enmarket Hires Director of Food Service with Culinary Degree, Corporate Chef Background

Enmarket Hires Director of Food Service with Culinary Degree, Corporate Chef Background

(SAVANNAH, GA) Enmarket, Savannah’s largest convenience store chain, has reinforced its commitment to bring healthy eating to the world of convenience with the recent hire of Ryan Krebs as director of food service.

Krebs is a classically trained chef, and he joins Enmarket after a substantial career that has included restaurants, fine dining hotels, nonprofits, health care and the convenience store market.

He began cooking professionally at the age of 16 and went on to earn a culinary arts degree from Johnson & Wales University, and a dietary manager certification from the University of North Dakota.

In addition to a career that has taken him from health care facilities to fine hotels, Krebs has co-authored a book on food service and culture in health care. In his most recent position as director of food service at Rutter’s in York, Pennsylvania, Krebs was recognized as 2017’s “Food Service Leader of the Year” by Convenience Store News. He also received the 2018 Produce Excellence Award presented by United Fresh.

During his time with Rutter’s, the 76-unit convenience store and gas station chain was recognized as the food service innovator of the year, as having the greatest coffee program in convenience, as the #1 convenience store for menu variety and as the healthiest convenience store chain.

“Convenience stores have evolved to be much more dynamic than places to fill your tank and pick up a gallon of milk, and Enmarket has made every effort to pioneer that shift,” said Brett Giesick, president of Enmarket. “Individual and families need access to healthy prepared options when they are on the go or out and about. We are committed to supporting the health of the community that depends on us, and that is why it is so important to invest in outstanding talent to lead our food service.

Enmarket has 125 stores, many of which offer prepared foods. In addition, the company operates 14 associated quick-serve restaurants and a fast-casual restaurant.

“Like me, Enmarket is passionate about premier food programs and industry-leading customer service,” Krebs said. “Though it is growing rapidly, Enmarket remains intentional and strategic in its plans and vision. I’ve worked my entire career for an opportunity to support and elevate a highly respected organization through my passion for food, and I’m thrilled to be with Enmarket on the forefront of top-tier convenience store operations in the southeast.”

Krebs and his wife, Nathalie, have a 7-year-old son, Elijah, and a 5-year-old daughter, Eliana. He is a collector of sports memorabilia, and an avid sports fan, especially of baseball. Krebs enjoys any opportunity to grill, to spend time with his family and to travel.

Better known among her patients as “Dr. C.”, she performs a variety of cosmetic procedures that range from facial rejuvenation and skincare to “mommy makeovers” that might include a breast lift, reduction or augmentation, tummy tucks and vaginal rejuvenation to restore ease of ordinary processes as well as intimate well-being.

“One of the significant benefits that Dr. Cazorla brings to our practice in Beaufort is the ability to offer local breast cancer patients same-day breast reconstruction close to home,” said Dr. Audrey Klenke, plastic surgeon and principal of Pinnacle Medical Group. “Previously, these patients would have had to come to our Bluffton facilities or travel to Charleston, but now they can receive these services from within the comfort of their communities.” Cazorla will also offer injectable treatments, including Botox and fillers, and will provide a surgeon’s holistic perspective in administering these procedures. “I am an artist at heart, so I use my eye for aesthetic to provide pleasing natural results that augment my patients’ natural beauty and help them achieve their best selves,” said Cazorla. “My vision is to be able to offer comprehensive women’s care and provide an aesthetic experience that allows me to address each of my patients’ personal goals.” “A plastic surgeon understands the muscles of the face and will know how to refresh patients so they don’t look overdone,” she said. “Before any potential procedure, we talk with patients to come to an understanding of their objectives so that we can develop a comprehensive plan that aligns their goals with mine.” Her goal is ultimately to help her patients attain confidence and empowerment. Cazorla is originally from New York City, where she began training as a surgeon. She completed a residency program at Texas Tech Health Science Center, Department of Surgery, in Lubbock, Texas. She then completed her plastic surgery fellowship at the University of Virginia Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Enmarket Introduces New Rewards and Payment Program

Enmarket Introduces New Rewards and Payment Program

(SAVANNAH, GA) The growing Savannah-based Enmarket convenience store chain continues to embrace cutting-edge technology as it rolls out a new customer rewards program called Enjoy Rewards.

Enmarket’s Enjoy Rewards will enable customers to earn fuel discounts by buying gas or diesel fuel as well as food and other merchandise inside the store. Those discounts can amount to as much as $2 off per gallon on fuel purchases.

“This rewards program provides significant savings for our customers and also maximizes convenience,” said Brett Giesick, president of Enmarket, the 49th largest convenience store chain in the country. “Participants will be able to earn and redeem rewards at any of our 125 stores.”

Other features of the program include a coffee club, frozen beverage club and roller grill club, each of which awards a customer a free item after six purchases, plus a free annual birthday reward.

Enjoy Rewards also offers registration rewards such as a one-time 10-cents-a-gallon discount and five free fountain drinks or coffees. Customers may pick up a card at any Enmarket location and can register the card online or on the Enmarket Enjoy Rewards mobile app to start redeeming their fuel discounts. From there, Enmarket customers have the option to either use the physical card or enter their phone number at checkout to access their accounts and rewards.

In addition to providing access to the rewards program, the card can be activated as a method of payment, called enPay. When customers pay for their fuel with enPay, they earn 10 cents off each gallon purchased in that transaction. The enPay card allows customers to make transactions using a secure PIN after linking the card directly to their checking account.

The software that powers the rewards program was developed by Paytronix, while the payment platform is delivered by Zipline.

“We strategically chose two leaders in their respective fields as our partners for this initiative,” continued Giesick. “Paytronix is the industry leader in its category and has the most experience of any company on the market—they truly understand how to use their deep intelligence to drive individual action. In fact, both companies have proven that they understand how to incentivize customers in a meaningful way through offers that are relevant to each individual. We’re building an ecosystem that allows for future integrations that will be seamless to our customers and make the Enmarket shopping experience second to none in the industry.”

This rewards program signals Enmarket’s commitment to its reputation as a technology-driven company designed to make customer experiences faster and more convenient. Last year, the chain became one of the first convenience store chains in the U.S. to introduce new mobile payment technology in the form of a self-checkout service that allows customer to skip register lines and pay for purchases instantly via Enmarket’s smartphone app.

“This is our small way of saying thank you to these men and women who work tirelessly to ensure our safety and comfort throughout the holiday season,” said Chris Tilton, one of two principals at the Dewitt Tilton Group. “While we’re enjoying this Thanksgiving holiday with family and friends, we wanted these folks, who often don’t get that time off, to know we’re thinking of them and all they do for us.”

This is the second year that the Dewitt Tilton Group has delivered holiday meals to Thunderbolt’s first responders and the first year of providing the meals to the utility workers. In total, over 20 meals were delivered.
