Greater Bluffton Jasper County Volunteers in Medicine Receives a Donation of Nearly $10,000 from Peacock Subaru’s Share the Love Campaign

Peacock Subaru Hilton Head presented $9,994.20 to Greater Bluffton Jasper County Volunteers in Medicine (BJVIM) at the conclusion of its annual Subaru Share the Love campaign. The Share the Love event was held at the end of 2020 when the dealership invited each Subaru buyer to designate a portion of their purchase price to benefit either a national nonprofit organization or Peacock Subaru’s hometown charity.

“It’s been a challenging year for everyone, especially in the healthcare field. We hope that this donation helps BJVIM further its mission in helping local folks in need of quality medical services,” said Ken Kirby, general manager of Peacock Subaru.

Through the dedicated service of approximately 75 volunteer physicians, nurses and allied health professionals, BJVIM provides free medical care to the residents of Bluffton and Jasper County who are uninsured.

“Peacock Subaru’s customers really showed their appreciation for our patient needs with their donations,” said Dennis Toney, development director for BJVIM. “As we celebrate our 10th Year of service to those in need, we are thankful for the dedication of our volunteer physicians and nurses as well as this financial support from the community. The timing could not be better and so many people will benefit,” he added. Nationally, the Share the Love event has enabled Subaru of America and its participating retailers to donate more than $200 million to charity over the last 13 years. Lowcountry Nonprofit, The Outside Foundation, Named a Finalist for Defender Above & Beyond Service Awards and Eligible to Win a Customized 2022 Land Rover Defender

(Hilton Head Island, S.C./Savannah, GA) Jaguar Land Rover Hilton Head, a local automotive dealership, announced today their nominee, The Outside Foundation, has been named a Jaguar Land Rover Defender Above & Beyond Service Awards finalist and is eligible to receive one of the seven customized Defender models as their grand prize. The Outside Foundation, a 501(c) nonprofit based in Hilton Head, S.C. and Savannah, Ga., inspires kids to get outside and works to protect the local environment and ecology.

Created to reflect the capabilities of the legendary Land Rover Defender’s seven decades of pushing limits, the award recognizes nonprofits that exceed expectations and go Above & Beyond for their communities every day. The Outside Foundation is one of five nonprofits across the country competing for the “Coastal And Marine Conservation” category award.

Judging for the Above & Beyond Service Awards is based on short films each organization produced to explain their mission and how the grand prize of a Land Rover Defender would impact their work. In The Outside Foundation’s video submission, Executive Director Jean Fruh highlights the 5,000 seventh-graders who’ve participated in the Kids in Kayaks program exploring salt marshes, the collection of 62 tons of oyster shells for recycling in three years, and the removal of two tons of trash at local beaches, parks and waterways. Winning the new Defender would help their efforts a great deal.

“Much of our work involves transporting debris from clean-ups, oyster shells, and all the kayaking equipment. Not only would a Land Rover Defender allow us to transport so much more, but it would also allow us to spend funds we use now for transportation to get more kids in a kayak and on the water,” Fruh explains.

Peacock Ford Donating Masks to Maitland Police and Fire Departments, Central Florida Boys and Girls Club, and Community Members During Peacock Ford PPE Day

Local dealership also providing barbecue lunches to first responders to recognize their service to the community.

(ORANGE COUNTY, Fla.)  Peacock Ford is donating a large shipment of masks from the Ford Motor Company Fund (Ford Fund) to the Maitland Police and Fire Departments and Central Florida Boys and Girls Club on Thursday, Feb. 18.

The public is invited to pick up free masks that same day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Peacock Ford dealership located at 1875 S. Orlando Ave., Maitland, Fla. There is a limit of 20 free masks per person, while supplies last.

In total, 13,680 free masks will be provided to the Maitland community in the Greater Orlando area.

During Peacock Ford PPE Day, the local dealership is also presenting a barbecue lunch to Maitland Fire Rescue Station #45 at noon, followed by another lunch delivery to Maitland Police headquarters, to show their appreciation for the efforts of first responders during the pandemic.

“We are committed to the health and safety of the communities we serve, and this donation of masks will help make a difference,” said Warner Peacock, Chairman and CEO of Peacock Automotive.

This initiative is part of Ford Motor Company’s #FinishStrong campaign to help save lives in the months ahead until COVID-19 vaccines become more widely available. Ford Fund is the philanthropic arm of Ford Motor Company.

Leveraging data from the University of Washington Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, Ford has committed to donating 120 million masks, up from its original commitment of 100 million, to communities in need and with limited access to personal protective equipment across the country.

“The data shows that we can save a lot of lives in the coming months by coming together as Americans and protecting each other. Our mission is to inspire people to stay safe,” said Kumar Galhotra, president, Americas & International Markets Group, Ford Motor Company.

Since August, Ford Fund has distributed more than 66 million medical-grade masks to nonprofit organizations, state and local officials, first responders, schools, community groups and Ford dealerships in all 50 states.

(SAVANNAH, GA) Peacock Subaru donated 80 blankets to the Inner City Night Shelter as part of the Subaru Loves to Help campaign, a nationwide program providing 50,000 blankets to nearly 600 homeless shelters across the country.

“We at Peacock Automotive are thrilled to be part of this generous campaign, and we appreciate Subaru always finding a new way for us to connect to the community,” said President & CEO of Peacock Automotive Warner Peacock. One of the fourteen brands sold at Peacock Automotive group dealerships in S.C., Ga. and Fla., Peacock Subaru gives back to the community through its Subaru Loves to Help/Care program.

October was a fantastic month for homeless pets in the Lowcountry. Peacock Subaru Hilton Head’s comprehensive plan to pay it forward throughout October helped rescue dozens of pets in peril and helped dozens more find homes. 

Peacock Subaru supported Palmetto Animal League’s first-ever virtual adoption event on Thursday, Oct. 8, by helping to showcase PAL’s adoptable pets. This adorable event, which included fee-waived adoptions made possible through a generous grant from the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®), led to the adoption of 34 pets in the span of just one week! 

“We watched a lot of lovely animals go to great homes thanks, in large part, to our Partner in Rescue Peacock Subaru,” said PAL President Amy Campanini. “Their dedication to introducing PAL’s adoptable pets to the community via video, Facebook Live and their pet-friendly dealership resulted in a beautiful wave of adoptions.” 

As another way to support the PAL Adoption Center, Peacock Subaru pledged to donate $100 to PAL for every pet adopted in October, leading to a generous donation of $3,100 and even more pets finding their forever home. As a private, non-profit rescue organization with no government funding, PAL relies on kindhearted businesses and individuals to fuel their compassionate, no-kill animal rescue programs. 

“Improving animal welfare is something that we continue to support in the Lowcountry and Savannah,” said Peacock Automotive President & CEO Warner Peacock. “Organizations like PAL provide a crucial service in the community and we’re glad to contribute to their efforts.” 

Peacock Subaru and Palmetto Animal League have partnered on many other life-saving adoption events over the years, including their Subiestock concert event each October from 2016 to 2019 and their once-in-a-lifetime Puppy Bowl debut in February of 2019.

Palmetto Animal League (PAL) and Peacock Subaru are bringing the pets to you! The “PAL at Your Pad” virtual adoption event was held on PAL’s Facebook page on Thursday, October 8. Adoption fees will be waived until October 15, made possible through a generous grant from the ASPCA.

Over $10,000 Donated to Greater Bluffton Jasper County Volunteers in Medicine from Peacock Subaru Hilton Head’s Share the Love Campaign 

(JASPER COUNTY, S.C.) Peacock Subaru Hilton Head presented $10,125 to Greater Bluffton Jasper County Volunteers in Medicine (BJVIM) at the conclusion of its annual Subaru Share the Love campaign. This total more than doubles the amount raised the prior year.

The Share the Love event was held at the end of 2019 when the dealership invited each Subaru buyer to designate a portion of their purchase price to benefit either a national nonprofit organization or Peacock Subaru’s hometown charity.

“It’s truly a testament to our community’s belief in the vital mission of Volunteers in Medicine that our dealership continually selects these heroes to be our hometown charity and that our customers keep choosing to give back locally—and even more so this year when the need is much greater,” said Ken Kirby, general manager of Peacock Subaru.Through the dedicated service of approximately 75 volunteer physicians, nurses and allied health professionals, BJVIM provides free medical care to the residents of Bluffton and Jasper County who are uninsured.”We have outstanding nurses and physicians who donate their time and expertise to our community, but it’s imperative that we have financial assistance in order to make a difference,” said Dennis Toney, development director of BJVIM. “We rely on donations like these and the support from Peacock Subaru could not have come at a better time.”

Nationally, the Share the Love event has enabled Subaru of America and its participating retailers to donate more than $176 million to charity over the last 12 years. Irish-Themed Yappy Hour Donation Drive Benefits Hilton Head Humane Association

(JASPER COUNTY, S.C.) Peacock Subaru in Hardeeville invited the public to “eat, drink and be Irish” with a free Yappy Hour event on Thursday, March 12, to celebrate the love of furry family members and to support the local animal shelter, the Hilton Head Humane Association.

The festivities were held from 5 – 7 p.m. at 111 Drivers Way.

“As part of Peacock Auto Mall, Peacock Subaru loves being involved in the community to give back to people who live in our region through helping local animal welfare efforts,” said Warner Peacock, president and CEO of Peacock Automotive. “We also love helping pets find their forever homes.”

The Hilton Head Humane Association was on site at this “Green Edition” of Peacock Subaru’s Yappy Hour with adoptable dogs. David Ross provided live entertainment, and Irish treats were dished up by Signature Catering & Events by SERG.

Attendees were able to bring their family pets for good luck as they were invited to register to win two RBC Heritage tickets along with passes into the Lowcountry Radio Group Hospitality Tent. These grand prizes, along with other door prizes, were provided by 104.9 The Surf and Peacock Subaru.

“We also encouraged everyone to consider bringing a donation for our event partner, the Hilton Head Humane Association, to show how much we appreciate their hard work and dedication,” Peacock said. “It’s wonderful to see the generosity that the community has at our family-friendly Yappy Hour events. We hope everyone will wear their green and plaid, come out and join in the fun.”

Peacock Ford Opens Renovated Spaces in Orlando Dealership

(ORLANDO, FL) Peacock Automotive is pleased to announce the completion of Phase One of renovations on Peacock Ford, and has now reopened its showroom, service and parts departments, sales and support offices and customer lounge.

Peacock Automotive acquired the Ford dealership in 2017, expanding its established markets in Georgia and South Carolina to Florida. The company has undertaken this full remodel with the goal of bringing the building into the 21st century with state-of-the-art modern amenities.

Peacock Ford is located at 1875 S. Orlando Avenue in Maitland and sits on a 10-acre lot that displays nearly 350 vehicles.

The dealership has been operating out of temporary offices since renovations began in the spring. This will be a stark contrast with the sleek new design of the current showroom, which will better serve customers while the renovated lounge will enable patrons to relax in comfort while their cars are serviced.

“We saw the need for upgrade immediately upon moving in, and we’re excited to be able to welcome not only the community into our beautiful, improved space, but also our employees, to whom we have been so grateful throughout this process,” said Warner Peacock, chairman and CEO of Peacock Automotive. “We’re looking forward to continuing onto Phase Two, and we’re confident that during the project we will continue to deliver on the efficient, quality service our customers expect.”
